The final segment of a program that is designed to help small businesses and entrepreneurs is taking place next week in Jefferson.
Greene County Development Corporation (GCDC) and Jefferson Matters Economic Vitality Team are partnering to host the fourth Build Your Own Business: Marketing and Social Media.
Jefferson Matters Executive Director Matt Wetrich shares that there will be four panelists who have different perspectives on marketing and utilizing social media, including Ames Regional Economic Alliance Vice President of Marketing and Communications Eric Smidt, Jefferson Matters Community Engagement Coordinator Emily Rohner, ShineOn Design/More Time Owner Jen Badger and Raccoon Valley Radio Co-Owner John McGee.
Wetrich says this is for anyone who feels they need some assistance with how to best market their company or organization.
“I don’t care if you’re in a business or a non-profit or your church or whatever it may be, everybody could use marketing advice. You get into it a little bit and then you realize, oh, there’s a reason the college degrees in this. I mean, sure, anybody can do a social media post one way or another, but there’s better ways to do things and we all have limited resources for what our marketing budget could be. So, how do you best use those dollars?”
The program is from 5:30-8:30pm at The Courtyard Wedding and Events Center in Jefferson next Wednesday. Wetrich adds to pre-register for this free event to help them figure out how much food to get for the meal. Click here to sign up.
