UPDATE 1-14-26
Full January 2026 eBay Seller Updates for US, UK, Germany and Australia have now been posted – details updated below!
UPDATE 1-13-26
After I notified eBay community staff about the dead link to the Promoted Stores details, now all of the links to the US January 2026 Seller News have been taken down, resulting in 404 page not found errors.
It would appear that someone hit “publish” too early and eBay was not yet ready to release these updates.
eBay has posted the first Seller Update for 2026, reminding clothing sellers about the Circular Fashion Fund and introducing custom landing pages for Promoted Stores ads.
eBay is reminding pre-loved clothing sellers to apply for the Circular Fashion Fund, which provides opportunities for businesses to receive a $50,000 grant with one global winner also receiving an additional $300,000 investment from eBay Ventures.
What you need to know
The Circular Fashion Fund is here to help fashion businesses like yours scale up sustainable ideas.
We’re supporting businesses who offer circular fashion solutions by offering a $50K grant to eight businesses selected as Circular Fashion Fund finalists. Additionally, eBay Ventures is offering an opportunity to receive an additional $300K investment for one business selected as the Circular Fashion Fund Global Winner.
This annual program, first launched in 2022, has already partnered with over 25 incredible businesses, helping them tackle the fashion industry’s environmental footprint — from production to end-of-life. Now, it’s your turn to join the movement.
eBay is also introducing custom landing pages for Promoted Stores ads and the ability to manually select which items appear in these ads, including the ability to link ads to eBay Live events if you have been authorized to use the livestream selling functionality and to influencer/eBay Ambassador storefronts.
What you need to know
Promoted Stores Custom is designed to give you more creative control and help you highlight the inventory that matters most to your business. You can now choose both the listings you want to feature in your ads and the exact Store page buyers land on.
How it works
Promoted Stores Custom gives you the flexibility to tailor your ads from start to finish:

More info:
Changes to move Promoted Stores ads to monthly budget pacing back in October were similarly poorly communicated, since eBay no longer has a standalone Ads blog, and many sellers continue to be unaware that this change can allow eBay to spend up to double their set daily “target” budget on some days while their ad campaign is active.
Strangely, today’s January Seller News did not include a reminder that changes to Promoted Listings General ad attribution go into effect today for US and Canada – perhaps eBay is trying not to poke the bear and hoping sellers simply won’t notice?
In addition to the same notices about the Circular Fashion Fund and Promoted Stores Custom expansion, sellers in the UK and Germany are also getting hit with an increase in per order fees and Final Value Fees in some categories.

German sellers will also now have access to SpeedPAK for cross border shipping.
eBay SpeedPAK, the new shipping solution, makes international trade easier – with less customs paperwork, transparent fees, and comprehensive protection. The service is initially available for shipments to the USA, the UK, and Australia, and will be gradually expanded to include more destinations. We will keep you updated on this.
What does eBay SpeedPAK offer you?
eBay SpeedPAK makes shipping to the USA, the UK, and Australia even more efficient. Import duties are automatically displayed on the item page and paid by the buyer at checkout. After the purchase, we take care of the necessary paperwork, customs clearance, and shipment tracking – including protection against delivery problems.
Your advantages with eBay SpeedPAK
How to get started with eBay SpeedPAK
Until March 31, 2026, an introductory discount of up to 10% will be automatically applied to all shipping labels for eBay SpeedPAK purchased via the eBay shipping platform. The displayed price for the shipping label is already reduced compared to the standard price
Sellers in Australia were also reminded they can apply for the Circular Fashion Fund grants and that eBay has negotiated new discounts for Australia Post labels.
They’ll also get access to the new features for Promoted Stores ads.
eBay Australia sellers will also have access to improved financial reporting.
How this helps you
This change was introduced in response to seller feedback wanting to gain a better understanding of their cash flow.
With these updates, you’ll be able to:

The enhanced reports dashboard will be visible to some sellers already and will be available to all sellers by the end of January.
Go to Seller Hub > Payments > Reports to view the new features and visualisations.
They’re also getting the same automatic positive feedback policy that eBay has been rolling out in other markets over the last year.
And finally, eBay also included a link to the update about how they are protecting Australian sellers from the fallout of the sudden shut down of Sendle.
Stay tuned for January 2026 updates for eBay UK, Canada, and Germany!
